Michaels comes to the cage accompanied by Sexy Boy. Complex comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Johnny Cash-When the Man Comes Around kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michaels closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Michaels lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Complex controls Michaels momentarily but Michaels frees himself.

Michaels postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Complex is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Michaels, into his guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Napoleon Complex hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Michaels takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Michaels throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Complex.
Michaels moves forwards but Complex connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Michaels shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Complex pinned against the cage. Complex gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Complex feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Michaels's calf.

Michaels throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Complex's waist but Complex gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Michaels off to one side.
Complex bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Michaels's head backwards.
Shawn Michaels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Complex.
Michaels takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
