Chronic misses with a left hand
and Silva counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Chronic shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Chronic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Chronic throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
Chronic misses with a straight left.
Silva moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Chronic .
Chronic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
Silva is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Chronic is controlling him well.
Chronic lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Silva down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva pushes Chronic away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chronic gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Silva is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Chronic misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
