Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mario Eibegger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Maverick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eibegger loads up on a big right hand but Maverick slips the punch.
Maverick scores with a spinning back kick!
Maverick cracks the inside of Eibegger's front leg.
A telegraphed right hand from Eibegger misses the target.

Maverick shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Eibegger napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Maverick postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Maverick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Eibegger takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Maverick misses with the ground and pound.
Eibegger is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Maverick creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Eibegger sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Eibegger parries the strikes from Maverick easily there. Maverick is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Eibegger to escape.
Eibegger is trying to control Maverick's posture but Maverick avoids it.
Eibegger is working to avoid the ground and pound but Maverick connects with a decent elbow.

Maverick cracks Eibegger with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Maverick immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Eibegger is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Maverick!
