Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cees Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamamoto Takamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takamura is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Can't Stop - Red Hot Chili Peppers. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A cross from Gunn lands.
Gunn misses with an uppercut

and Takamura counters with a single leg into guard. Gunn didn't expect that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Takamura trying to control but Gunn is working from the bottom.
Takamura really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gunn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Takamura wants to control from the top but Gunn keeps moving.
Takamura looking to sit in guard and control but Gunn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gunn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Yamamoto Takamura wasn't active enough on the ground.
Gunn fails with the takedown.
Takamura throws a right and a left that Gunn avoids nicely.

Gunn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Takamura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Takamura has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gunn is proving hard to escape from.

Takamura throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gunn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Takamura throws a strike but Gunn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

and Takamura counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Takamura trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Takamura throws a big right hand that misses.
Takamura trying to control the position from guard on top but Gunn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gunn looking for a triangle here. Takamura is fighting it but it looks tight! Gunn pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Takamura is tapping out - this one is all over!
