Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Method Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milo Coors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man comes to the cage accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan-METHOD MAN . Method Man has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Method Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milo Coors!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coors shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Man manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Coors is fighting to break Man's control of his arms but Man is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Coors stopping the sweep attempt from Man.

Coors drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Man dives on top into guard.
Man lands a couple of digs.
Coors looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coors looking for a guillotine here but Man defends easily.
Man wants to control from the top but Coors keeps moving.
Man is working Coors over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Man works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Man missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Man throwing shots but Coors is blocking nicely.

Man is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Coors is looking for a triangle but Man pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Method Man will probably get the nod.
That's time! Man's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Man lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Coors dives in and scores a takedown into Man's guard.
Coors looking to sit in guard and control but Man gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Coors swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Man trying to control but Coors is working from the bottom.
Man will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Coors escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Man passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Coors managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Man.
Coors tries to buck Man off but Man is having none of it.
Man postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Coors on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Coors tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Coors is trying to escape the position but Man is controlling the position.
Coors wants to control but Man postures up.
Coors manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Coors is looking to control Man's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Coors avoid being mounted?

Man is looking to take a break and control but Coors is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Coors makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Coors.
Coors keeping full guard, as Man tries to pass.
Coors utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Man got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coors has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Man has managed to get both his arms back between Coors's legs - danger averted.

Coors has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.
Coors manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Man manages to get himself to full guard.
Man looking for a sweep. Not yet Man, not yet.

Man pulls Coors in to control the position.
Method Man overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Coors trying to control the position from guard on top but Man is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Man looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coors is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Method Man will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Coors shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Man napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Man is trying to control but can't.

Coors is working for a submission of some sort.

Man is trying to maintain the position but Coors is very close to passing his half guard.

Coors is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Man defends it well.
Man trying to hold on to Coors's head to control him but Coors postures up.
Man wants to get back to full guard.

Coors is working for a kimura but Man is defending it quite comfortably.
Man moves into full guard.

Coors tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.

Coors is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Man is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Man has escaped and now he's on top!
Coors manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Coors goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Man is on top in guard.

Man seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coors does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Method Man.
Well Man has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
