Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kullervo Pelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Alekseev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pelli comes into the arena with Juha Vainio - Nakkila blaring out of the sound system. Alekseev has chosen Imperium as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alekseev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pelli counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Oleg Alekseev has been cut.
A solid leg kick lands there for Pelli.
Pelli has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Alekseev finds it's way round the side to connect with Pelli's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alekseev uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pelli.
Pelli connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Pelli displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alekseev.
Pelli lands a left and a right that send Alekseev crashing to the mat, dazed. Pelli thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Alekseev closes the distance and clinches up with Pelli, looking for a takedown. Alekseev pushes Pelli against the cage but Pelli circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kullervo Pelli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Alekseev.
Pelli throws a right and a left that both miss.

Oleg Alekseev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alekseev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pelli defends it nicely.

Alekseev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pelli on his heels. He'll look to pass Pelli's guard now, I'm sure.
Pelli is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alekseev is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alekseev cracks Pelli with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Alekseev jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pelli manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Alekseev postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Alekseev connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pelli some visible discomfort.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pelli takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Alekseev wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pelli, who protects the arm well.
Pelli takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Alekseev shoots in but Pelli avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Alekseev slips under a jab from Pelli.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Alekseev. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Alekseev looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pelli knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alekseev on the ground.
Alekseev is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alekseev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Alekseev drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pelli looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pelli looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pelli!
Alekseev is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Alekseev manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Pelli wants to get up but he can't break Alekseev's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
