Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chev Chelios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chelios kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is In Waves. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chelios defending well as Sparks loads up on a big left hand.
Chelios clinches.
Sparks is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Chelios is defending well for now.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chelios.
Chelios misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chelios lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Chelios pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sparks throws a head kick that half lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chelios scores with a head kick. Sparks tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Sparks is rocked!
Sparks is aggressively charging in as Chelios backs up avoiding any damage. Chelios tosses out a jab and Sparks runs right into it face first! Sparks is out cold! Chelios dropped down on all fours and is barking in Sparks's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chev Chelios!

After winning the bout, Chev Chelios thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
