Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Slyker might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to It's Amazing by Kanye West. Wilkinson has chosen Overkill as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Clay Wilkinson!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkinson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Slyker sprawls well. Slyker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wilkinson gets slowly back to his feet.
Wilkinson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Wilkinson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slyker paws at him with a jab and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wilkinson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wilkinson.

Slyker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Slyker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wilkinson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Slyker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Slyker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wilkinson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slyker has managed to get both his arms back between Wilkinson's legs - danger averted.
