And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama thumps Abott with a low kick.
Akiyama lands a left and a right that send Abott crashing to the mat, dazed. Akiyama thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Tank Abott has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abott shoots in looking for a takedown but Akiyama manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Abott's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Abott throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Akiyama sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Akiyama knocks out Abott with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Akiyama before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Akiyama picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Akira Akiyama!
