Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glover scores with a crisp jab that stopped Alvez in his tracks.


It looks like Jambo Alvez has been cut.
Glover misses with a looping left.
Nice takedown defense from Glover. No joy for Alvez on that attempt.
Alvez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Glover fails in his attempt to clinch.
Alvez slips a jab from Glover.
Alvez tries to close the distance and clinch but Glover swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Glover ducks under a wild hook from Alvez.
Glover misses with a straight right.
Alvez thows a left - swing and a miss!
Alvez swats away the attempt to clinch by Glover.
Jeff Glover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Alvez checks a leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Glover. Those never looked like landing.
Glover scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Glover moves into the clinch.
Alvez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Glover is trying to pull guard but Alvez turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Glover drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Alvez sitting in guard here, content to control.
Alvez postures up.

Glover is looking to sinch up a triangle. Alvez throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Glover's body to avoid the submission. Glover has instead reached around Alvez's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Glover arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
