The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pegao gets a takedown into half guard.

Pegao drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gracie looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gracie looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gracie!
Gracie tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pegao knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gracie is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pegao looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gracie gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Pegao is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gracie lets go of the hold and Pegao can pop his arm back in it's socket.

A less than humble Carlos Gracie misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
