And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshimitsu on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Yoshimitsu with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sykk counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sykk waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Yoshimitsu. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Yoshimitsu to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Yoshimitsu is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sykk passes Yoshimitsu's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Yoshimitsu is still in real trouble! Can Sykk finish him?
Sykk lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Yoshimitsu quite badly. Yoshimitsu pulls Sykk in close trying to recover. Sykk postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Yoshimitsu on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Yoshimitsu doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vesa Sykk!
Vesa Sykk retains his featherweight title!
