Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blake Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Stoker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axe comes to the cage accompanied by For Whom the Bell Tolls. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Axe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Albert Stoker!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Axe looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Axe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Axe is looking to take a break and control but Stoker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stoker gets back to half guard.

Axe wants to work for an arm triangle but Stoker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Axe trying to mount his opponent but Stoker defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Axe seems to be working for a kimura but Stoker defends the submission attempt.
Stoker won't allow Axe to pass to mount.

Axe wants to take a breather but Stoker is having none of it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Axe connects with a nice short shot to Stoker's temple.
Axe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Axe with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Axe thows a huge punch but Stoker dodges it nicely.
Axe is thwarting Stoker's attempts to control the position.

Stoker looking for submissions off his back.
Stoker looks winded!
Stoker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Axe is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Stoker reverses the position - he's now on top in Axe's guard.
Axe wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Axe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stoker defends it easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Axe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Axe manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stoker throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Axe moves into the clinch.
Axe unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Axe obliges.

Axe works on Stoker's body with a couple of short punches.
Axe misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Stoker.
Axe using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Stoker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Axe tries to work over Stoker's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Stoker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Axe is trying to keep an underhook but Stoker manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Stoker is looking for a kimura but Axe is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stoker to get the leverage.

Axe won't allow Stoker to pass to mount.

Axe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stoker pulls his head out easily.
Axe tries to roll over but Stoker keeps him under control.

Axe kicks off Stoker and gets to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Axe.
Stoker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Axe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stoker slips a straight right by Axe.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stoker scores with a jab.
Stoker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Axe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blake Axe dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Axe.
Axe throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stoker's head.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Axe.
Axe wants to clinch but Stoker slips to the side
and Stoker counters with a stiff right hand.
Axe shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blake Axe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stoker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Albert Stoker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stoker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Axe as he avoids it easily.
Stoker misses with a hook. Axe ducked under it nicely.
Stoker is breathing heavily.
Axe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stoker sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Axe lands a nice knee to the body.

Stoker is looking to control Axe's arms but Axe gets an underhook and turns him. Now Stoker has his back to the cage.

Axe throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stoker blocks it with crossed arms.

Stoker takes an elbow to the forehead.
Axe gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Stoker looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Axe seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
