Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gunner State Jr. (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). and Bob Jay. Gunner State Jr. has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunner State Jr.!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Jay!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jay closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. State Jr. did well to prevent Jay getting side control.
State Jr. moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jay trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
State Jr. keeping moving, preventing Jay from controlling successfully.
State Jr. will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jay is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
State Jr. looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

State Jr. had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jay defends it easily.
Jay advances to half guard.
State Jr. is looking to improve his position.

Jay is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

State Jr. tries to roll over but Jay keeps him under control.

Jay is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so State Jr. is just riding it out for now. Jay eventually gives up the hold.

Jay is looking for a kimura but State Jr. is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jay to get the leverage.

State Jr. is looking to control Jay's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can State Jr. avoid being mounted?
State Jr. is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jay is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and State Jr. defends it well.

State Jr. tries to get to full guard but Jay has control of the leg.

Jay is working for an americana but State Jr. has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Jay was thinking about the submission.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jay has gone for a leg lock! State Jr. slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jay's guard.

State Jr. got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, State Jr. has managed to get both his arms back between Jay's legs - danger averted.
State Jr. passes Jay's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
State Jr. throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

State Jr. seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jay does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bob Jay will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jay has his takedown stuffed
and State Jr. counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jay shoots in for a double leg but State Jr. sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
State Jr. lands a head shot.

enabling State Jr. to counter with a crisp jab.
Gunner State Jr. has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Jay.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jay takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bob Jay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
State Jr. buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and State Jr. counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jay is breathing heavily.
Jay with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling State Jr. to score with a decent uppercut.


Jay is rocked!
State Jr. scores with a body shot.
Jay is aggressively charging in as State Jr. backs up avoiding any damage. State Jr. tosses out a jab and Jay runs right into it face first! Jay is out cold! State Jr. dropped down on all fours and is barking in Jay's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gunner State Jr.!
An out of breath Gunner State Jr. thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
