Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Le Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida's entrance music is Bleed It Out. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Banner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Machida displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Banner.

Machida thuds his right hand into Banner's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Banner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Machida was covering up waiting for the punch and Banner finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Banner shoots in looking for a takedown. Machida tries to sprawl out of it but Banner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Machida manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee warns Machida that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
It looks like Ryoto Machida has been cut.
Banner loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Machida scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Banner land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Banner stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jerome Le Banner!
After winning the bout, Jerome Le Banner thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
