Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Schulz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guillaume Boucher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Schulz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Guillaume Boucher!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boucher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Boucher misses with a combination
and Schulz counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A bit of stalling here from Schulz.
Schulz throws a knee to the head but misses.
Schulz jumps guard and drags Boucher to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boucher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Schulz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boucher has managed to get both his arms back between Schulz's legs - danger averted.

Schulz wants the takedown. Boucher is fighting it off but Schulz persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Boucher's guard against the cage.

Schulz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Schulz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boucher for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Schulz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
