Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rokki Kukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juha Laukkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kukko comes to the ring accompanied by Brother Firetribe - I Am Rock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rokki Kukko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juha Laukkanen!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laukkanen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Laukkanen scores with a jab.
Kukko walks into a straight right hand from Laukkanen.
Kukko misses the shot to the body.
Laukkanen digs a good hook to Kukko's body.
Laukkanen misses with the combination.
Laukkanen misses with an uppercut. Kukko saw that one coming.
Laukkanen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Laukkanen.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Laukkanen has hold of Kukko's hands but Kukko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Laukkanen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kukko scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kukko connects with a nice short shot to Laukkanen's temple.
Laukkanen wants to improve his position but Kukko is controlling well.

Kukko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Laukkanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kukko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Laukkanen is trying to maintain the position but Kukko is very close to passing his half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Laukkanen can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kukko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Laukkanen thuds his right hand into Kukko's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Laukkanen moves out of range as Kukko strikes.
Laukkanen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Laukkanen punishes Kukko's body with a nice straight punch.
Kukko moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kukko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Laukkanen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kukko is putting a hurting on Laukkanen here, landing some big shots from side control.
Kukko scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Laukkanen to see if he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kukko lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Laukkanen down.

Kukko cracks Laukkanen with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kukko immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Laukkanen is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kukko!
