Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Rowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt has chosen Super Massive Black Hole as his entrance music. Chad Rowe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowe tries to clinch but Hunt moves out of range.
Hunt looks to throw the jab but Rowe is out of range.
Hunt keeps the fight on the outside.
Rowe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hunt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Rowe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hunt lunges at Rowe with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rowe's hand.


It looks like Chad Rowe has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hunt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Hunt and Rowe goes tumbling to the canvas! Hunt follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Hunt is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hunt is keen to just control but Rowe is a slippery customer.

Rowe is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hunt is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rowe to the mat. Rowe regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Hunt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hunt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hunt with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
