And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pluto Palhares!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omega misses with a leg kick.
Omega throws a push kick but Palhares slaps the foot to one side.
A jab lands there for Omega.
An inside leg kick lands from Palhares.
Omega tries to move into range but Palhares moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Omega pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Palhares avoids a kick to the body.
Palhares swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Omega looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Omega connects with a nice looking jab.
Palhares avoids a kick to the body.
Omega swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Palhares connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Omega momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Omega fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Palhares.

Omega takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Omega looks to land a body kick but Palhares moved away.

Omega lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Palhares moves forwards but Omega connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Palhares sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Omega throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Palhares.

Omega tries to bum rush Palhares with a series of wild strikes but Palhares uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
