Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blake Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axe comes to the cage accompanied by For Whom the Bell Tolls. Roman Gracie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Axe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roman Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axe moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Jab, jab by Axe - just one landing.
Blake Axe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Axe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Axe throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.

Axe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Axe lands in his opponent's guard.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Axe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Axe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Axe won't allow Gracie to sweep him here.
Gracie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Axe is working Gracie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.

Axe throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Axe looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Axe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Axe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Axe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well.

Gracie wants to control from the top but Axe keeps moving.

Gracie forces his way into half guard.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Axe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gracie passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Axe!

Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Axe can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Axe slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Gracie content to control rather than advance.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Axe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Gracie in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Axe tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gracie!
