PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kees Flodder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Lemieux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lemieux is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sliwa. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kees Flodder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ron Lemieux!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flodder throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lemieux stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Flodder misses with a two punch combination.
Flodder lands with an uppercut that bounces Lemieux off the cage and back into range.
Lemieux is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Flodder fails to land with a series of punches.
Flodder lands a jab to the nose.
Flodder throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Lemieux counter with a right hand.
Flodder swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lemieux makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lemieux.
Flodder throws a series of punches but Lemieux avoids them all with ease.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Flodder is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lemieux connects with a decent elbow.
Flodder on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Flodder tries to get out of the position.

Ron Lemieux showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lemieux postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Flodder is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lemieux, into his guard.
Lemieux manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Flodder manages to get himself to full guard.
Ron Lemieux is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Ron Lemieux comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lemieux winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
