Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucas Dias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Savage!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dias.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Dias controls the position from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dias wants to stand but Savage is controlling his arm.
Savage has one of Dias's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Dias taking a breather here.
Dias wants to control but Savage is keeping him busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lucas Dias has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dias throws a good cross that connects.
Dias shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Savage but Savage pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Savage has taken the fight to the clinch.

Savage escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Savage lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Savage throws a leg kick which misses Dias's front leg but catches the back leg as Dias tries to avoid it.
Dias tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dias changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Savage tries to avoid it but Dias manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Savage to the ground. Savage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Savage walks into a straight right hand from Dias.
Dias tries to clinch but Savage moves out of range.
Savage moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Dias tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Savage paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Savage darts in and clinches Dias up against the cage.
Dias is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Savage avoiding damage.
Savage creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Dias's defenses.

Savage escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Savage with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dias is breathing heavily.
Dias misses with a takedown attempt - Savage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Dias. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dias has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Savage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dias on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Savage. Savage obviously looking to wear him down.

Savage takes the fight into the clinch.
Savage lands an elbow inside.
Savage lands an elbow just above Dias 's eye.
Savage keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dias's efforts to push away.
Savage unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Savage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Savage closes the distance and clinches.
Savage is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Savage breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dias shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Savage defends it nicely.
Left hook, right uppercut from Savage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dias tries to land a body kick
and Savage counters with an outside leg kick.

Savage forces Dias back against the cage and clinches.

Savage manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Savage gets a clinch.
Knees to the body from Savage.

Savage pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jack Savage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Savage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Savage dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Savage moves into the clinch.

Savage breaks the clinch.

Savage lands a big head kick that sends Dias tumbling to the mat! Savage takes a step backwards and waves Dias back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Dias is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Savage looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Oh Dias is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Savage looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Savage backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Dias's temple! It sends Dias violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Savage celebrates and the doctors try to help Dias!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Jack Savage!
