Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jordan Howard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boaz Jachin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Howard scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Jachin is looking to improve his position.
Howard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Howard is taking a breather. Jachin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Howard lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Howard is working for a kimura but Jachin is defending it quite comfortably.
Howard scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Howard connects with a nice short shot to Jachin's temple.

Jachin is refusing to be controlled, as Howard sits in half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jachin is staying active underneath Howard, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Howard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jachin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Howard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Howard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jachin tries to control but Howard manages to take his back.
Jachin is in bad spot here.
Jachin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Howard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Howard biding his time, looking for the opening.
Jachin trying to control the hands but Howard breaks the grip.
Jachin is taking damage to the body and head.
Howard has the hooks in. Jachin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Howard is cranking Jachin's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Jachin! He's tightened the choke and Jachin is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jordan Howard!
