Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trinidad Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Roy Jones - Can't be touched kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Suarez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Suarez.

Rua closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Suarez's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Suarez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rua with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Suarez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Rua shoots in looking for a takedown but Suarez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rua's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rua fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rua looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Suarez is fending him off so far but Rua persists. Nope, Suarez circles away and we're back to standing.
Rua bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Suarez's head backwards.
Suarez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rua did well to prevent Suarez getting side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rua pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Suarez and Rua goes tumbling to the canvas! Suarez follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Suarez creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Rua is out cold and this one is all over! Suarez climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.
