Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luke Gardner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luke Gardner had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner slips a jab and a cross from Gunner.
Gunner tries for a takedown but Gardner circles away easily
and Gardner counters with a series of strikes. Gunner will be more careful next time no doubt.
Gardner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gunner throws a nice inside leg kick.
Gunner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gardner misses with the combination.
Gunner takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gardner scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Gunner throws a hook but Gardner avoids it easily.
Gardner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gunner was well out of range. Poor timing from Gardner.
Nice shot lands for Gunner.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gardner keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Gunner shoots in looking for a takedown. Gardner tries to sprawl out of it but Gunner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gardner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gardner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gunner moves away.

Gunner throws a head kick but Gardner moves out of range.
Gunner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gunner throws a nice outside leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Gardner as Gunner shoots in.
Luke Gardner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Gunner.

Gunner moves out of range of the body kick.
Gunner shoots for a takedown but Gardner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gunner throws a right and a left that Gardner avoids nicely.

Gunner changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Gunner uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gardner has time to react.

Nice takedown defense from Gardner. No joy for Gunner on that attempt.
A jab from Gunner finds it's way through Gardner's defenses.
Gunner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gardner.
Gunner lands a nice shot that snaps Gardner's head back.

Gardner is rocked!
Gunner lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Gardner is looking to close the distance but Gunner sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Gardner crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Gardner is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
