PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Ryan Devolder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brody Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devolder comes to the cage accompanied by 'I'm A Big Kid Now'. Tanaka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Enter Sandman. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Devolder feints and as Tanaka raises his hands in defense, Devolder changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Devolder pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tanaka is keeping the position for now.

Devolder thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Devolder tries to free his leg and advance position but Tanaka is retaining full guard.

Devolder drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Devolder seems to have locked his on tight now - Tanaka screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Devolder, as he picks up the win!
