Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Claude Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wangjannoi Payakaroon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson comes into the arena with Goldie - by ASAP Rocky blaring out of the sound system. Payakaroon has chosen thai fight music as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Claude Thompson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Claude Thompson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Payakaroon defends it nicely.
Payakaroon has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Payakaroon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Thompson.
Thompson misses with a wild body shot.
Thompson throws a lazy right hand but Payakaroon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Thompson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Payakaroon quickly recovers to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thompson connects with a nice short shot to Payakaroon's temple.
Thompson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Payakaroon wants to control but Thompson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

A relieved looking Claude Thompson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
