Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Eikmeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Eikmeyer!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Eikmeyer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Eikmeyer escapes and gets back to his feet.

Eikmeyer throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Edwards tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Eikmeyer is in Edwards's guard.

Eikmeyer is in close to Edwards's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eikmeyer stands up over Edwards, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Eikmeyer drops back looking for a leg! Edwards is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Edwards manages to kick Eikmeyer off! Eikmeyer jumps back into Edwards's guard.

Eikmeyer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eikmeyer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Eikmeyer postures up in Edwards's guard and throws a big left but Edwards blocks it.

Edwards looking for a guillotine here but Eikmeyer defends easily.

Eikmeyer shoots in looking for a takedown. Edwards tries to sprawl out of it but Eikmeyer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Edwards manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Edwards fakes the leg kick and cracks Eikmeyer in the body.
Edwards feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Eikmeyer's calf.

Edwards lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Edwards lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mario Eikmeyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Eikmeyer steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Edwards. That one must have hurt.
Both fighters circling a little - Edwards finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Edwards. Eikmeyer shrugs it off though.
Edwards buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Edwards plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Eikmeyer is defended easily by Edwards.
Edwards throws a front kick that sends Eikmeyer stumbling back into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Edwards lands a nice leg kick that just misses Eikmeyer's sensitive parts.

Eikmeyer sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Eikmeyer steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Edwards. That one must have hurt.
That kick from Edwards tenderised Eikmeyer's leg. Eikmeyer is trying to keep his angry face on.
Edwards throws a quick inside leg kick.
Edwards lands a head kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Edwards.
Edwards thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Eikmeyer if he has to take too many more of those.
Edwards fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Eikmeyer takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Edwards delivers a nice body kick.
The fighters circle, before Edwards throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Eikmeyer's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Edwards lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
