The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuddell slips a jab and a cross from Eagle.
Cuddell throws the left hand but Eagle avoids the punch easily.
Cuddell is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cuddell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Eagle keeps the fight on the outside.
Cuddell tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Eagle counters with a three punch combo that has Cuddell backing up. Cuddell nods at Eagle to acknowledge the strikes.
Cuddell takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Cuddell misses with a body kick.
Cuddell tries to clinch but Eagle moves away
and Eagle counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cuddell gets through Eagle's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cuddell moves in looking to clinch but Eagle pushes him off.

Eagle could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That has opened up Matt Cuddell's cut even more.

Cuddell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Eagle paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cuddell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cuddell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Cuddell pushes Eagle up against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Cuddell's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cuddell misses with a punch on the inside.
Cuddell lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Cuddell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Cuddell gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Eagle tries to throw a body punch but Cuddell avoids it by throwing Eagle back against the cage.

Cuddell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Eagle swats away the attempt to clinch by Cuddell.
Cuddell doesn't manage to clinch there - Eagle circles away.
Eagle catches Cuddell with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Cuddell moves into range and clinches up with Eagle.
Eagle tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Matt Cuddell's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Eagle lands a hook to the side of the head.
Eagle misses with a hook to the ribs.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Eagle on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cuddell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Eagle blocks it with crossed arms.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
