PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Asher Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Watcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asher Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Watcher!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Watcher at a distance.
Watcher throws a looping overhand right but Lee ducks down to avoid it.
Watcher looks to land a left hand but Lee moved out of range nicely.
Lee takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Lee throws a series of punches but Watcher avoids them all with ease.
Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lee fails to land with a series of punches.
Watcher loads up on a big right hand but Lee slips the punch.
Lee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A lazy left from Lee finds it's target.
Watcher rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Watcher takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Watcher takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Watcher just misses with a punch to the body.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Watcher swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Watcher keeps the fight on the outside.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Watcher ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lee moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Watcher misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming.
Watcher steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lee.
Watcher keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lee.
Lee misses with a hook.
Lee lands with a right hand.
Watcher looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range.
Watcher looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range.
Watcher throws a hook but Lee blocks it.
Watcher misses with a body shot.
Lee wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Watcher's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lee connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Watcher scrambles back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Watcher. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Watcher throws a jab when Lee was well out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lee throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lee lands with a cross.
Asher Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Watcher back to the cage. Lee follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lee throws a body punch but Watcher moves out of range.
Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Watcher misses with a shot to the body
and Lee counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A big right from Watcher misses.
Lee rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Watcher counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Watcher.
Donk. Lee catches Watcher right on the button with a cross.
Some wild striking there from Lee.
A lazy left from Lee finds it's target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Watcher lands with an overhand left.
A looping hook to the body misses from Watcher. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lee bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Watcher's head backwards.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lee, as that shot connected.
Lee is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Lee blocks a jab.
The fighters circling - Watcher throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lee misses with a body kick.
Lee tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Watcher counter with a right hand.
Lee scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Lee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Watcher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lee throws a shot from downtown. Watcher moves away and avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Watcher.
Lee looks to land a left hand but Watcher moved out of range nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee misses with an uppercut.
Lee jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lee falls off balance throwing a combination
and Watcher counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Lee has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Andy Watcher!
