The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cole is able to avoid easily.
Rodrigues buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rodrigues ducks right into an uppercut from Cole.
No joy there for Rodrigues, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Severino Rodrigues has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rodrigues takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Cole lands a big head kick that sends Rodrigues tumbling to the mat! Cole takes a step backwards and waves Rodrigues back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rodrigues throws a leg kick but Cole sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Cole feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rodrigues sprawling to the canvas! Rodrigues rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cole finish him?!

Rodrigues is rocked!

That has opened up Severino Rodrigues's cut even more.
Rodrigues throws a head kick but Cole moves out of range.
Rodrigues is still on wobbly legs! Can Cole finish him?
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Cole. Rodrigues shrugs it off though.
Rodrigues seems to have recovered his senses.
Cole scoring well with a low kick there.

Cole throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cole is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Cole looks to land a body kick but Rodrigues moved away.

Rodrigues is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Cole Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Rodrigues is out cold, face down on the mat!
