Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Salace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esa Wideroos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Salace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Esa Wideroos!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salace takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A slapping leg kick lands for Wideroos.
Good leg kick by Wideroos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wideroos turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wideroos fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Salace.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Salace takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Salace fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wideroos lands a jab to Salace's midsection.

Salace scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Salace working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Salace is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wideroos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Salace thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Salace is breathing heavily.
Wideroos can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salace creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Wideroos sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Salace tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salace has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Salace in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Salace is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wideroos has escaped the position, nice work there.
Salace looks up at the clock and then as Wideroos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Salace smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Wideroos tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Salace creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Wideroos sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Wideroos is trying to control Salace's posture but Salace avoids it.
Salace working the ground and pound.
Salace trying to control the position but Wideroos is working away.
Wideroos struggling a bit here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Salace working the ground and pound from side control.
Wideroos is looking for a sweep.

Salace goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Wideroos rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Salace's guard! Nice work there by Wideroos!
Wideroos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wideroos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wideroos wants to control but Salace is keeping him busy.
Salace struggling a bit here.
Wideroos scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Salace to see if he's OK.

Salace is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Salace's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Salace taking a bit of punishment here - Wideroos scoring with strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Salace is looking to regain half guard here but Wideroos keeps moving and retains side control.
Salace sneaks back into half guard.
Salace trying to get back to full guard but Wideroos takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Salace throwing hammer fists to the chest of Wideroos. What's that going to do exactly?
Salace is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Esa Wideroos dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Wideroos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Salace stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Simon Salace is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wideroos chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Salace shoots in for a takedown but Wideroos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wideroos jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wideroos feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Salace's calf.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wideroos lands the left hand.


It looks like Simon Salace has been cut.
Wideroos uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Salace has time to react.
Wideroos lands a leg kick that knocks Salace off balance momentarily.
Salace is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wideroos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wideroos swings for the body but Salace moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wideroos and Salace are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Wideroos throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Salace into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Wideroos knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Esa Wideroos!
