Fertus throws a head kick that misses.

Howard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Howard lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Howard fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fertus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Nice shot lands for Howard.

Howard throws a sloppy head kick and Fertus moves out of range easily.

Howard throws a leg kick that misses.

Howard throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A looping hook to the body misses from Howard. Fertus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Howard cracks Fertus with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Howard feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fertus sprawling to the canvas! Fertus rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Howard finish him?!
Fertus is rocked!
Howard drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Fertus's head, knocking him out cold! Howard is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dwight Howard!
Our winner, Dwight Howard, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
