The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bartlet shoots for a takedown but Johnson Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bartlet tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bartlet somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josiah Bartlet. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bartlet rushes Johnson Jr and presses him up against the cage.

Bartlet manages to break the clinch.

Bartlet darts in and clinches Johnson Jr up against the cage.

Bartlet has Johnson Jr pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bartlet pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Johnson Jr tumbling to the mat - Bartlet dives into Johnson Jr's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Johnson Jr is looking to stand up but Bartlet isn't so interested in that idea.

Johnson Jr is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson Jr is on top in guard.
Johnson Jr wants to control from the top but Bartlet keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Demetrious Johnson Jr wasn't active enough on the ground.

Bartlet closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Johnson Jr has hold of Bartlet's hands but Bartlet slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Johnson Jr tries to kick Bartlet off but Bartlet keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Bartlet lands strikes from half guard.
Bartlet working over Johnson Jr with some ground and pound. Johnson Jr looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Bartlet seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Johnson Jr is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bartlet lands a big elbow - Johnson Jr is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Bartlet!
