Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Krabbapple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toddy Ruch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stefan Krabbapple!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Toddy Ruch!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krabbapple has managed to clinch.

Ruch pulls guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ruch trying to control the position.

Krabbapple stands up and waves to Ruch to follow him.

Krabbapple darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ruch is looking to improve his position.
Krabbapple is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Ruch manages to get to full guard.
Krabbapple postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Krabbapple has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ruch is proving hard to escape from.

Krabbapple stands and steps away. Ruch gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ruch looking to score a takedown here. Krabbapple is defending well but Ruch drives through and ends up in Krabbapple's guard.
Krabbapple is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ruch is controlling him.

Krabbapple is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Krabbapple is breathing heavily.
Ruch tries to stall but Krabbapple uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Ruch lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krabbapple wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ruch trying to control from half guard but Krabbapple is working away.
Ruch stops Krabbapple from getting back to his feet.
Krabbapple is in trouble now - Ruch has advanced to mount!
Ruch tries to control but Krabbapple wriggling away.
Ruch sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Ruch throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Krabbapple because Ruch loaded up on that one.
Ruch looking to control but Krabbapple is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ruch working for a submission but Krabbapple is keeping him at bay.
You get the feeling that Krabbapple really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Ruch can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Krabbapple is looking to escape.
Krabbapple knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ruch on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ruch goes for an armbar but Krabbapple turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Krabbapple.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Krabbapple stands up and waves to Ruch to follow him.
Krabbapple is looking to clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ruch shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Krabbapple's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ruch drops back, looking for a kneebar! Krabbapple looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Krabbapple looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Krabbapple!
Krabbapple tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Toddy Ruch will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!



Ruch shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Krabbapple manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ruch wants to control from the top but Krabbapple keeps moving.

Krabbapple pushes Ruch off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Stefan Krabbapple is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ruch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Krabbapple is looking to escape.
Ruch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Krabbapple keeps working.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ruch is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Ruch not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Ruch prevents Krabbapple from standing back up.
Ruch trying to control the action but Krabbapple is working from the bottom.
Ruch frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ruch wants to control the pace but Krabbapple is squirming around nicely.
Ruch throwing strikes here but Krabbapple is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Krabbapple is trying to stand.
Poor strikes thrown by Ruch there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Ruch trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ruch looking to ground and pound but Krabbapple is blocking nicely.
Krabbapple is squirming around, avoiding Ruch's attempts to control the action.
Ruch is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Ruch looking to isolate an arm here. Krabbapple doesn't see it coming and as Ruch extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Ruch!
