The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Cold tenderised Davis's leg. Davis is trying to keep his angry face on.
Davis throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Cold rushes Davis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cold is trying to break the clinch but Davis has him pressed against the cage.

Cold changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Davis fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cold swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Davis has a takedown stuffed.
Cold looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.
Cold scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cold but Cold pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cold throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Davis counters by clinching up.
Cold has had enough of the clinch but Davis keeps him there for the moment.

Cold is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Davis is keeping busy.
Cold is looking to break free of the clinch but Davis has double underhooks.
Davis keeps control of Cold as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Davis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Davis slips a jab and a cross from Cold.
Cold rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Davis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cold looks to land a right hand but Davis moved out of range.
Noah Cold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cold throws a combination. Davis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Davis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cold sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Davis somewhat.
Noah Cold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Davis.

Davis gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Davis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cold's guard.
Davis won't allow Cold to sweep him here.
Davis slips nicely into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
