PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zuese Zorro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz has chosen T.I - Big Shit Poppin as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zuese Zorro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zorro throws a sloppy head kick and Cruz moves out of range easily.
That kick from Zorro tenderised Cruz's leg. Cruz is trying to keep his angry face on.
Cruz tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Zorro is able to avoid easily.

Cruz closes the distance and clinches.

Zorro wants the takedown. Cruz is fighting it off but Zorro persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cruz's guard against the cage.

Zorro drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cruz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Zorro has Cruz in his guard.

Zorro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cruz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cruz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zorro is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Zorro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cruz defends well.
Zorro looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Zorro has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cruz is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Zorro.
Zorro manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cruz's best efforts.

Zorro is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cruz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cruz's back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Zorro has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Cruz! Can he survive? No! He's out! Zorro gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Zuese Zorro really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Empire Threads logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
