Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waru Kuzuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mullen comes into the arena with Country Boy Can Survive blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullen slips under a jab.
Kuzuri cracks Mullen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kuzuri scores with a body shot.
Mullen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kuzuri throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mullen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

It looks like Waru Kuzuri has been cut.

Mullen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mullen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Mullen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kuzuri.

Good leg kick by Mullen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kuzuri throws a chopping leg kick but Mullen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Kuzuri lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kuzuri connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Mullen will probably get the nod.

Kuzuri lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kuzuri fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mullen.

Kuzuri drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Mullen right on the button. Mullen goes down! Kuzuri follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Kuzuri gets the win via TKO!

Waru Kuzuri really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KAISER logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
