Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Griffiths (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gearo Husamanto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Husamanto has chosen paradise as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gearo Husamanto!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffiths blocks a head kick by Husamanto.
Husamanto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Griffiths, pushing him back against the cage.
Griffiths is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Husamanto to keep the fight standing.
Husamanto misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Griffiths.
Husamanto using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Griffiths has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Gearo Husamanto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffiths throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Husamanto's waist but Husamanto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Griffiths off to one side.
Husamanto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Griffiths.

Husamanto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Husamanto wants it to stay on the feet.

Griffiths shoots in for a double leg but Husamanto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Griffiths shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Husamanto pinned against the cage. Husamanto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Husamanto clinches up with Griffiths and pushes him back against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Griffiths dives in and scores a takedown into Husamanto's guard.
Griffiths drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Husamanto manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Griffiths has Husamanto in his guard.

Husamanto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Griffiths has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Husamanto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Husamanto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Griffiths defends it well.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

After the fight, Stephen Griffiths was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
