Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Buffet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buffet comes to the cage accompanied by Margaritaville. Mercer has chosen Kid CuDi - Wylin Cuz I'm Young as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buffet thows a body shot but no joy.
Mercer throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Buffet's head.

and Mercer counters with a straight right hand.

Buffet throws an overhand right that lands on Mercer's shoulder, as Mercer tries to avoid the shot.
Mercer swats away the attempt to clinch by Buffet.
Buffet tries to clinch there but Mercer circles away.
Mercer throws a looping overhand right but Buffet ducks down to avoid it.
Mercer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Buffet throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Buffet swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mercer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Buffet.
Buffet scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Mercer misses with a wild combination.

Mercer tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Mercer lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Buffet's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mercer.
Buffet misses with a straight right.

and Mercer counters with a flying knee. Nice.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Buffet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mercer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mercer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Buffet looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Buffet fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mercer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Buffet doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mercer.
Buffet thows a leg kick but Mercer checks it
and Mercer counters with a slapping leg kick.
Mercer lands a big right hand that sends Buffet crashing to the mat! Mercer stays standing though and waves Buffet back to his feet!
Buffet is rocked!
It looks like Jimmy Buffet has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mercer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Buffet.
Oh Buffet is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mercer looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Mercer backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Buffet's temple! It sends Buffet violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Mercer celebrates and the doctors try to help Buffet!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Clay Mercer!
A very excited looking Clay Mercer made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
