Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamison Burkina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes into the arena with Fort Minor-Remember The Name blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burkina needs to keep his hands up - Diaz had a free shot at his head there.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Burkina checks a leg kick.

Burkina shoots in looking for a takedown. Diaz tries to sprawl out of it but Burkina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Diaz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Diaz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Burkina stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diaz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Burkina stacks Diaz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Burkina!

Burkina is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Diaz has the hooks in. Burkina is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Diaz has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Burkina is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Diaz.
