The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Saunders.
Saunders wants to clinch but Hunt slips to the side
and Hunt counters with a straight right hand.
Saunders misses with a hook.
Hunt smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Hunt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Saunders.
Hunt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Saunders uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hunt.
Hunt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Saunders takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hunt throws a jab when Saunders was well out of range.

and Saunders counters with a big head kick but Hunt shrugs it off.

Saunders's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hunt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Saunders scrambles back to his feet.

That kick from Hunt tenderised Saunders's leg. Saunders is trying to keep his angry face on.

Saunders tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A head punch on the inside from Saunders fails to land.
Hunt gets through Saunders's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Saunders has had enough of the clinch but Hunt keeps him there for the moment.

Hunt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Saunders throws a sloppy head kick and Hunt moves out of range easily.
Saunders moves forwards but Hunt connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Saunders is still on wobbly legs! Can Hunt finish him?
Saunders shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunt tries to sprawl out of it but Saunders keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hunt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Phol Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takeo Toast Saunders.
Saunders takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Hunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saunders manages to avoid it.

Hunt circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Saunders to the canvas! Saunders doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hunt keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
