Scott has chosen Hell's Bells as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bonald Scott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bonald Scott!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott motions for Kona to come forward. Scott throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Scott.

and Kona counters with a two punch combo.

Scott is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kona is just riding it out for now. Scott eventually gives up the hold.
Scott is pressing down on Kona's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kona is holding on for now.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Scott is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kona is just riding it out for now. Scott eventually gives up the hold.

Scott is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Scott is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kona defends it well.
Scott blocks the strikes from Kona.

Scott is keen to just control but Kona is a slippery customer.

Scott wants to work for an arm triangle but Kona is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Scott moves nicely into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kona wants to control but Scott postures up.

Kona on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kona tries to get out of the position.
