Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Haigh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haigh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Poe pinned against the cage. Poe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Haigh ducks under a wild hook from Poe.
Poe fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Poe thuds his right hand into Haigh's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Poe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Poe wants it to stay on the feet.
Poe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Poe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Haigh takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Poe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Horrible takedown by Haigh or perhaps it was just good defense by Poe which made him look bad.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Haigh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
