PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Li comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac - hit em up. Evans has chosen Emoyrean Mercenaries as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Evans!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Evans swings for the body but Li moves out of range.
Li shoots in looking for a takedown but Evans manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Li's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A chopping leg kick lands by Evans.
Li looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Li doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Evans counters with a left to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Li. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Li misses with a takedown
and Evans counters with a straight right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Li chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Evans can pounce on him.
Li is breathing heavily.
Evans lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Li gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Evans counters with a good low kick that Li was not able to check.
Evans connects with a jab.
Evans fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Evans lands a nice looking body shot.
Evans cracks the inside of Li's front leg.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Li. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Evans cracks Li with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Li tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Evans pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Li is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Evans!
After winning the bout, Ryan Evans thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
