Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilia Kosarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goran Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ilia Kosarev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 46 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Goran Schwarzeneg!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosarev fails to land the takedown.
Kosarev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Schwarzeneg counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Ilia Kosarev has been cut.

Schwarzeneg rushes Kosarev and presses him up against the cage.
Kosarev has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Schwarzeneg after a bit of a struggle.

Kosarev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Schwarzeneg is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Schwarzeneg has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kosarev is trying to keep an underhook but Schwarzeneg manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kosarev seems to have got his legs back now.

Kosarev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kosarev tries to get out of the position.

Kosarev tries to kick Schwarzeneg off but Schwarzeneg keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Schwarzeneg lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kosarev!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kosarev is defended easily by Schwarzeneg.

Schwarzeneg leaves Kosarev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kosarev gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Schwarzeneg sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kosarev's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Schwarzeneg seems to be working for a kimura but Kosarev defends the submission attempt.
Schwarzeneg prevents Kosarev from standing back up.
Schwarzeneg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ilia Kosarev.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Goran Schwarzeneg hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Kosarev is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Schwarzeneg has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kosarev clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Schwarzeneg displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kosarev.
Kosarev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Schwarzeneg as he jumps to the side.

Kosarev shoots in for a takedown but Schwarzeneg shows good takedown defense.

Schwarzeneg lands a big uppercut and Kosarev crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kosarev looks OK. Schwarzeneg waves Kosarev back to his feet!
Goran Schwarzeneg seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Are you kidding me?! Schwarzeneg ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Kosarev clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
