Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abdoul Murquite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vydan Freuster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murquite comes to the cage accompanied by Não Posso Mais. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Abdoul Murquite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vydan Freuster!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freuster scores with a shot to the body.
Murquite on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


It looks like Abdoul Murquite has been cut.
Freuster slaps away a takedown attempt from Murquite, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Murquite shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Freuster pinned against the cage. Freuster gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Freuster throws a shot from downtown. Murquite moves away and avoids it.
Freuster misses with a hook.
Freuster lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Murquite tries to score a power double leg takedown but Freuster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Murquite somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abdoul Murquite. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Freuster throws a series of punches but Murquite avoids them all with ease.
Freuster throws a series of strikes that have Murquite backpedaling.

Murquite ducks under a wild hook from Freuster.

Freuster stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


Abdoul Murquite's cut is getting worse.
Freuster is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Murquite tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Freuster swivels and escapes.
Freuster connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Murquite's hands.
Freuster stuffs the takedown.
Murquite shoots in but no luck this time.
Vydan Freuster is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Murquite throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Freuster's waist but Freuster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Murquite off to one side.
Freuster uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Murquite has time to react.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Freuster can do anything to dispel that myth.

Murquite stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Freuster swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Murquite closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Murquite lands in his opponent's guard.

Murquite stands up over Freuster, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Murquite is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Murquite thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Freuster's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Murquite prevents Freuster from improving his position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Murquite connects with a nice short shot to Freuster's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Murquite looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Freuster throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Freuster misses with an uppercut

and Murquite counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Freuster!
Freuster manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Freuster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Murquite can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Murquite wants to lay and pray for a moment but Freuster keeps working.
Freuster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murquite. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Murquite thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Freuster is desperately trying to improve his position but Murquite has a good base and remains in mount.

Freuster scores with a nice right hand.
Murquite changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Freuster tries to avoid it but Murquite manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Freuster to the ground. Freuster escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Freuster might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Freuster throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Murquite shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Freuster keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Freuster throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Freuster tries to bum rush Murquite with a series of wild strikes but Murquite uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Murquite.

Murquite has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Murquite seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Freuster does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Abdoul Murquite.
Freuster throws an overhand right that lands on Murquite's shoulder, as Murquite tries to avoid the shot.
Murquite shoots in for a takedown but Freuster shows good takedown defense.

I would just about give that final round to Vydan Freuster.
I think Freuster has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
