Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Mask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kake Nyrkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mask might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wait, what? OH MY GOD, Tiger has joined the Dark Side!!. Kake Nyrkki will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kake Nyrkki!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyrkki moves out of range as Mask throws a body kick.
Nyrkki throws a hook but Mask avoids it easily.
Mask throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mask fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mask lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nyrkki at a distance.
Nyrkki misses with a double jab.
A swing and a miss from Mask.
Nyrkki moves out of range of the strikes.
Nyrkki fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mask has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nyrkki cracks Mask with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mask thuds his right hand into Nyrkki's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Sloppy strikes from Nyrkki. Those never looked like landing.
Mask looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Mask counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nyrkki's knee momentarily.
Nyrkki misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kake Nyrkki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nyrkki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mask.
Nyrkki throws a front kick aimed at Mask's knee but Mask avoids it well.
Mask looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Nyrkki feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Masks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Horrible takedown by Mask or perhaps it was just good defense by Nyrkki which made him look bad.

Nyrkki just misses with a punch to the body.
Mask throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice defenses there by Nyrkki.
Mask throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nyrkki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mask is in Nyrkki's guard.
Mask missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Mask throws a big elbow that misses.

Mask stops Nyrkki from standing up.
Nyrkki wants to sweep but no luck.
Mask might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nyrkki controls Mask momentarily but Mask frees himself.
Mask working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mask lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Nyrkki has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Nyrkki avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mask stands and throws Nyrkki's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mask wants to control but Nyrkki is keeping him busy.
Nyrkki is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mask's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Mask wants to free his trapped foot but Nyrkki is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Mask throwing shots but Nyrkki is blocking nicely.

Nyrkki is in trouble now - Mask has advanced to mount!
Mask jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Nyrkki is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Nyrkki and Mask has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Nyrkki tries to improve position but can't.
Nyrkki struggling a bit here.
Nyrkki is looking for a sweep.
Mask has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Nyrkki!
Nyrkki tries to hold on but Mask postures up.
Nyrkki is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Mask is staying active.

Mask with a couple of short strikes.
Mask postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nyrkki looks a forlorn figure.
It looks like Kake Nyrkki has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nyrkki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Mask connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Nyrkki tries to lock up and control but Mask gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mask has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Nyrkki's face.
Mask lands with some strikes.
Nyrkki is trying to escape the mount.
Mask throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mask is landing with some decent strikes but Nyrkki is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mask has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nyrkki is rocked!
Nyrkki tries to lock up and control but Mask gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nyrkki is still in real trouble! Can Mask finish him?
Mask lands with some strikes.
Mask looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Nyrkki covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tiger Mask!
In his post fight interview, Tiger Mask gave a big smile as he said 'I have suffered and I've taken losses. I was on a downward spiral. But now... the Dark Side has taken me over. And I can feel the vigor...'.
