Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between JD Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amis Pelle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopkins comes to the cage accompanied by Symptom of the Universe - by Sepultura. Amis Pelle will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pelle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Hopkins instigates a clinch.
Hopkins has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pelle after a bit of a struggle.
Hopkins goes for a takedown attempt but Pelle pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Pelle missing with a left hand there. Hopkins was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Hopkins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pelle sprawls well initially but Hopkins persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hopkins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pelle's head.
Pelle wants to get back to full guard.
Hopkins takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pelle wants to control but Hopkins is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hopkins sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pelle defending well though.
Pelle wants to improve his position but Hopkins is controlling well.

Pelle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hopkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hopkins looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Hopkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hopkins looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Hopkins winds up and cracks Pelle with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pelle pushes Hopkins off looking to stand but Hopkins dives back in and keeps control.
Hopkins passes the guard and advances to mount!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hopkins lands a couple of good shots and Pelle has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Pelle covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Hopkins lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Hopkins is raining down hard shots and and Pelle has had enough - he's tapped out due to the strikes!
