PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and January Kwiecinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that January Kwiecinski was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, January Kwiecinski!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwiecinski fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lesnar on the side of the head.
Nice uppercut there from Kwiecinski.
Kwiecinski lands a head shot.
A good leg kick by Kwiecinski.
Kwiecinski misses with a head kick.
Lesnar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lesnar takes one to the chin there.
Lesnar walks into a straight right hand from Kwiecinski.

Kwiecinski scores with a sloppy right hand. Lesnar should have avoided that one.

Kwiecinski moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kwiecinski lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lesnar will feel that in the morning.
January Kwiecinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lesnar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lesnar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Kwiecinski pushes Lesnar away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lesnar gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Kwiecinski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lesnar tries for a kimura but Kwiecinski is defending well.

Lesnar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kwiecinski, who protects the arm well.
Lesnar has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Lesnar fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kwiecinski is still in real trouble! Can Lesnar finish him?
Lesnar is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Kwiecinski goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Lesnar!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Brock Lesnar!
Brock Lesnar seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
